Med diagnosiskt ultraljud kan fysioterapeuten bedöma:
- Senskador
- Slemsäcksförändringar
- Muskelbristningar
- Nervstrukturer som är svullna av inflammation
- Ledkapslar och ledband i yttre del av leder
- Broskskador och artros i vissa leder
